What Dave Stands ForEconomic vitality
Restoring Economic VitalityDave Beckwith believes the government should never take more from hardworking families than it needs.
In Northern Virginia, where the cost of living is already high, that principle matters. He will fight to keep the $40,000 SALT deduction permanent for middle-class families, index capital gains to inflation so homeowners are not taxed on phantom gains, and simplify the tax code so hard work is rewarded at every income level. On energy, Dave supports an all-of-the-above strategy that gets government out of the way of innovation, ends market-distorting subsidies, and makes a bold reinvestment in nuclear power as a clean, proven, job-creating energy source for Virginia's future.
On regulation, education, and healthcare, Dave's approach is the same: less government interference and more power in the hands of families. He will fight to reduce the federal regulatory burden that costs our economy billions every year, support school choice and vocational training so every student has a path to a good career without crushing debt, and push for full healthcare price transparency and expanded Health Savings Accounts so patients, not insurance companies, are in control of their own care.
Tax reform that works for you
Government should be lean, efficient, and respect the hard-earned money of its citizens. By preventing a massive $4 trillion tax hike last year, we protected families from a crushing financial burden. But we must go further. We should index capital gains to inflation; it is simply unfair for homeowners to pay taxes on "gains" that are actually just the result of rising costs. In Northern Virginia, where the cost of living is high, the $40,000 SALT deduction has been a lifeline for middle-class families. I will fight to make that deduction permanent. Furthermore, let’s simplify the code: a flat 5% rate for those earning under $200,000 rewards hard work and keeps more money in your local community rather than in Washington.
unleashing american energy
To lower costs at the pump and on your utility bills, we need to get the government out of the way of energy innovation. I support an "all-of-the-above" strategy that ends market-distorting subsidies and lets the most efficient technologies win. This includes a bold reinvestment in nuclear power—a proven, "green" source of clean energy that provides high-paying jobs and reliable power for our future.
cutting red tape
Common-sense regulation is necessary for safety, but the current federal bureaucracy has become a maze. Since 1993, over 120,000 new rules have been issued, costing our economy billions—roughly the size of our annual deficit. It is estimated the average American inadvertently breaks multiple regulations every day just by living their lives. We need to codify regulatory relief into law so that future administrations cannot unilaterally reimpose stifling rules on small businesses.
education for the modern economy
A thriving economy starts in the classroom. We must empower families with school choice, ensuring no child is trapped in a failing system. For high schoolers, we should incentivize vocational training and apprenticeships in trades that are resilient to AI. In higher education, it is time to end the 40-year spending binge. We should reform federal student loans to prioritize degrees that lead to high-demand, high-paying careers, ensuring our graduates enter the workforce with skills—not soul-crushing debt
Patient-centered health care
Healthcare represents nearly 18% of our economy, yet costs continue to climb. We can lower prices without sacrificing quality by focusing on three pillars:
absolute price transparency so you can shop for care
expanded access to Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) paired with catastrophic coverage
an end to corporate subsidies for insurance giants.
Most importantly, we will protect the American research base that leads the world in finding cures, ensuring the next generation of medical breakthroughs happens right here at home.
