Defending Our RightsDave Beckwith believes the Constitution is not a suggestion, it is the foundation this country stands on, and every right it guarantees deserves a Congressman who will defend it without exception.
As a 30-year Air Force veteran, Dave swore an oath to defend the Constitution, and he has carried that oath through his entire career. That commitment doesn't end when the uniform comes off. It's why he believes government's role is to protect the rights the Founders enshrined, not to chip away at them one regulation at a time.
Dave believes in the whole document, not just the parts that are politically convenient. Rights aren't privileges handed down by Washington to be granted or revoked depending on who's in power, they're guarantees the government exists to protect.
In Congress, Dave will oppose legislation that infringes on the constitutional rights of law-abiding Americans, fight federal overreach into decisions that belong to states, local communities, and individuals, and stand firm against the kind of incremental erosion that turns constitutional rights into permission slips.
Before every vote, he'll ask himself the same question: does this uphold, or infringe, on the constitutional rights of the people I represent? That's the standard he'll hold himself to in Congress.
